The Legislation: 

The Green Jobs Act authorizes up to $125 million in funding to establish national and state job training programs targeting green industries, such as constructing and converting energy efficient buildings, producing renewable electric power, manufacturing energy efficient vehicles, and developing biofuels. The bill benefits the middle class because of its potential to positively impact the environment, foster economic development and enable working people to qualify for better jobs.
